Regulatory perspective on hydrogen control for LWR plants

Description
This paper presents the current regulatory prspective on hydrogen control and mitigation for light water reactor plants. This perspective should be an important element in the decision making regarding the research activities dealing with hydrogen management in nuclear power plants. The approach is to first describe the background for hydrogen control requirements, i.e., the pre-TMI requirements and the related developments subsequent to the TMI-2 accident. The regulatory perspective on requirements for additional capability for hydrogen management is then discussed
