Wind power generation in Switzerland moving forward

After a number of stand-by years, things are moving what regards wind energy use, especially since the Mont-Crosin wind park is in operation. A study makes clear that wind power could deliver in Switzerland a significant contribution to carbondioxide-free power generation. However, the future development of this pollutant-free energy will strongly depend on its acceptance by ordinary people. In order to improve the general boundary conditions, the Swiss wind energy community has founded an own professional association, named 'Suisse Eole'

Abstract (German)

Nach Jahren der Flaute kommt mit dem Windkraftwerk auf dem Mont-Crosin frischer Wind in die Nutzung der Windenergie. Eine Studie macht deutlich, dass die Windkraft einen spuerbaren Beitrag zu einer kohlendioxydfreien Stromversorgung beisteuern koennte. Die zukuenftige Entrwicklung dieser schadstofffreien Energieerzeugung wird aber auch von ihrer Akzeptanz durch die Bevoelkerung weitgehend abhaengen. Um die Rahmenbedingungen zu verbessern, hat die Schweizer 'Suisse Eole' jetzt einen eigenen Fachverband geschaffen
