Proton induced reactions of oxygen-17 and beryllium-9 - A test of direct reaction theories
Description
Data from proton induced reactions on the nuclei of Oxygen-17 and Beryllium-9 are presented, together with analyses using Direct Reaction theories. Proton elastic scattering data from Oxygen-17 have been used to provide parameters for both an inelastic proton scattering analysis, and an extensive (p,d) reaction analysis, leading to an assessment of the validity of the DWBA theory in this mass region. Results are also presented of an investigation of the 9Be(p,d)8Be reaction, and predictions of both DWBA and BHMM theories. (author)
