The covariant nature of helicity conservation
Description
S-channel helicity conservation at the γV, γ γ and NN vertices is examined and it is shown that in each of these cases the phenomenon can be ascribed to the vanishing of the same spin-zero covariant coupling. The implications of this for the NN* vertex are considered. (author)
