Estimation of the state-of-the-art and possibilities for development of the geothermal resource in the Republic of Macedonia

Based on the present know-how in Macedonia and the world, a trial is made to analyse and estimate the influencing factors defining the situation and justifiability of development of the geothermal energy resource in Macedonia, as it follows: 1) Nature and location of the energy resource; 2) 'Know-how' on disposal; 3) Application technologies on disposal; 4) Industrial production of equipment and materials on disposal; 5) Possible market for the energy resource; 6) Financial competitiveness; 7) Environment protection; 8) Regional aspects of possible development; 9) Barriers for development; 10) Necessary measures to enable development.
