Observations of the transverse Zeeman effect in the magnetic star Beta Coronae Borealis: Evidence for the oblique rotator model
Description
We present photoelectric measurements of the transverse Zeeman effect in the magnetic star β CrB. The electric vector of the observed polarization in the 4520.2 A line of Fe II describes a 360degree rotation per magnetic cycle, as predicted by the oblique rotator model
