Kinetic description of solid-state photochemical reactions and photoselction
Description
A study has been made on photochemical reaction kinetics in the absence of molecular rotational mobility and with allowance for the absorption anisotropy. The equations can be solved to derive the response to polarized or unpolarized radiation, as well as the characteristics of the light-induced macroscopic anisotropy. It is concluded that the kinetics under photoselection conditions may differ substantially from the case of rapid rotational diffusion
