Description

The direct observation of the interparticle interference effect in small angle scattering (SAS) of neutrons of a model scatterers system is carried out. Experiments are fulfilled by means of the universal neutron diffractometer with two-crystal monochromator. Pure powders of TiZr, Al and their mixtures are used as samples. Powder of TiZr plays the role of a diluent. The dependences of the SAS curve width on the Al powder mass in the sample and the total mass of Al and TiZr mixture are presented. Quantitative estimations of the value of the interparticle interference on depending of the scatterer concentration are obtained for the case of multiple neutron SAS

Abstract (Russian)

Проведено прямое наблюдение эффекта межчастичной интерференции в малоугловом рассеянии (МУР) нейтронов на модельной системе рассеивателей. Эксперименты выполнены на универсальном нейтронном дифрактометре с двухкристальным монохроматором. В качестве образцов использованы чистые порошки TiZr, Al и их смеси. Представлены зависимости ширины кривой МУР от массы порошка Al в образце и от общей массы смеси Al и TiZr. Порошок TiZr выполнял роль разбавителя. Получены количественные оценки величины межчастичной интерференции в зависимости от концентрации рассеивателей в случае многократного МУР нейтронов
