Surface tension and boundary conditions for superfluid Fermi liquid. Size effect and the effect of a magnetic field on the phase diagram

  • 1. Department of Physics, Technion--Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel

Description

The boundary conditions for the Ginzburg-Landau equations for an anisotropic superfluid Fermi liquid are obtained. The surface tension is taken into account. The observable surface tension is calculated for the simplest cases. It is shown that surface tension can lead to a profound effect on the phase diagram which is analogous to the one observed in a magnetic field. The influence of a magnetic field on the phase diagram is also calculated
