Fast neutron induced fission of even-even plutonium isotopes, 240Pu and 242Pu using four dimensional Langevin approach

  • 1. Department of Nuclear Physics, University of Mazandaran, Babolsar (Iran, Islamic Republic of)

Description

Dynamical analysis of energy dissipation in the excited plutonium isotopes, formed during neutron-induced fission reactions was performed using the four dimensional Langevin equations. The mass distribution of fission fragments, neutron multiplicity and fission cross section for plutonium isotopes as a function of incident neutron energies are also obtained. Calculations have been done using Langevin dynamical approach combined with Monte Carlo simulation at different energies of the incident neutron. The energy-dependencies of theoretical results show reasonable agreement with experimental data. (author)
