Synthesis and study of actinide and lanthanide binary compounds

Experimental data on preparation of americium nitride samples during calcination of metal americium in the atmosphere of nitrogen and hydrogen mixture are presented. Americium nitride identification has been realized using roentgenography. It is shown that when the mixture 99.9%N2+0.1%L2 is used alongside with nitride a high-temperature form of americium sesquioxide is also formed and when the mixture 70%N2+30%H2 is used only nitride is formed
