Description
The mathematical model is described for calculating the dynamic response of fuel rods to flowing coolant effects. The so-called state space method was used which makes it possible to find response to any arbitrary time and space course. Equations are shown for one rod, for two series-connected and two parallel-bundled rods. An example is given of a solution for one rod. The rod deflection amplitude calculated from the specific elongation is comparable with experimental measurement. (Z.M.)
