Observation of autowave state and stable dynamic structure in multidomain magnetic films
Description
Investigation into domain structure (DS) behaviour of magneto-single-axis thin film crystals in variable fields their frequency being sufficiently lower than frequences typical of domain boundary resonance and spin wave excitation, is conducted. Epitaxial films of ferrite garnets of different composition and several micron thickness are studied. The main results obtained are demonstrated taking (YSm)3(FeGa)5O12 film with light magnetization axis perpendicular to the film plane as an example. The domain structure was revealed using magnetooptical Faraday effect. It is shown that under appropriate pumping conditions a multidomain magnetic sample transfers into an autowave state, similar to the one observed in plasma or liquid, gaseous, strongly non-equilibrium systems. This transfer is accompanied by formation of specific by configuration dynamic domain structures which can serve as soliton type formations
