Description

Nuclide production cross sections of Ni and Zr targets for 0.4-, 1.3-, 2.2-, and 3.0-GeV protons were measured using 3 GeV Rapid Cycling Synchrotron of Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex. The cross sections were determined by the conventional gamma-ray spectrometry technique with a high-purity Ge detector. Our results are reported with previous data and theoretical calculations using INCL-4.6/GEM, Bertini/GEM, JAM/GEM, and INCL++/ABLA07 models and evaluated data library JENDL/HE-2007. In addition, an empirical formula for production cross sections is proposed. (author)
