Performance of the U-30 electro. linac

Description

Energy- and current performance of an U-30 electron linac are presented. The electron energy has been determined by electron flight in aluminium. The maximum kinetic energy at a minimum current makes up 1.8 MeV. Dependences of the average current of an accelarated beam on frequency, on cathode filament current at different values of power, on current of focusing coils for different values of operating frequency of SHF supply are obtained. The average current at the accelerator outlet varies from 1 μA, 9330 MHz to 6 μA, 9370 MHz
