Characterisation of trace elements in suspended particulate matter by instrumental neutron activation analysis
- 1. National Environmental Engineering Research Inst., Nagpur (India)
- 2. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay (India). Radiation Safety Systems Division
Description
Elemental concentration of suspended particulate matter (SPM) samples were determined by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) techniques. The samples from different locations representing industrial, residential, and commercial cum residential areas of Bombay city were irradiated in Apsara reactor. The results thus obtained were evaluated on statistical basis for comparing the percentage points of t and F distribution. (author). 15 refs., 3 tabs
