Low temperature sensitization behavior of SS 304LN

  • 1. National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur (India)
  • 2. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

The present investigation aims at understanding the low temperature sensitization behavior of nuclear grade stainless steels (SS-304LN). Mill annealed SS-304LN and weld joints were exposed to temperatures ranging from 350-450 °C for 125-8000 hours followed by furnace cooling. Sensitization was quantified by, double loop electrochemical potentiokinetic (DL-EPR) method, in terms of degree of sensitization (DOS)
