Training simulator as a means for basic and applied training at the training centre and at the nuclear power plant

Description

A partial training simulator was developed for nuclear power plant personnel training. It is based on the SM 4/20 minicomputer with standard peripheral equipment and it also includes the instructor's workplace and the trainees' workplaces. The instructor's workplace is equipped with a monochrome alphanumerical display and a matrix printer. At present the trainees' workplace comprises only one working place; four are envisaged for the future. This workplace is equipped with two semigraphics displays and a single-purpose keyboard. On the first keyboard-controlled monitor, technological diagrams of the individual systems are displayed. The second monitor provides the trainee with complementary information, instructions for further activity or examination questions. For the time being, the partial simulator can work in two modes - for demonstrations and for simulations. The mode for examinations will be added later when sufficient experience with the teaching process will be gained and a thorough debugging of computer programs will be accomplished. (Z.M.)
