Hungary's joining the EU and the safety of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant
Description
In Hungary, as in several other Central and Eastern European countries, the majority of NPPs is WWER-440 units. The nuclear safety situation of those who would like to join the EU as soon as the economic and environmental conditions make it possible, has been investigated thoroughly by the European Commission and by other organs as well as at a special meeting. The results of there surveys and examinations are discussed and evaluated. (R.P.)
