Cross-placental transfer of plutonium-239 in gravid baboons
Description
The crossplacental transfer of intravenously injected 239Pu citrate and its distribution in the fetoplacental unit and the dam were studied in the baboon. Although there was marked variability because of the small numbers of animals used for each gestational age, the data are generally similar to those obtained in comparable experiments with rats
