A novel method for parton reconstruction in collider experiments
Description
A novel method for reconstructing quark and gluon jets in colliding beam experiments is introduced. The new generation of detectors with particle tracking and highly calorimeters are designed for parton reconstruction rather than single hadron measurements. A two-way algorithm utilizing independently formed clusters of tracks and energy depositions allows us to identify the initial partons with high precision and efficiency. (orig.)
