Development of advanced main control console
Creators
- 1. Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Osaka (Japan)
Description
The main control room is a key man-machine interface center in the nuclear power station. Japanese pressurized water reactor (PWR) utilities and venders have developed a screen-based main control console for the next generation PWRs. During the development, a prototype console was built and validated by operating crews from ten nuclear power stations. It was suggested that the use of the console would reduce the workload level and potential human errors. (author)
