Plasma physics research group annual progress report
Description
During 1978, work continued on the effects of plasma non-uniformities on magnetoacoustic oscillations in current-carrying plasmas. Work on the linear diffusion pinch programme was primarily devoted to the completion of two experimental devices: FUZA-2 and FUZA-3. The results of the first series of experiments on these devices are described. In addition, some theoretical work on diffusion in cylindrical and toroidal plasmas is described
