Assessment of dedicated MRIs and MRIs with moderate field <1 T - File + Synthesis

Description

Based on a large bibliography, this study aimed at determining medical indications for two types of MRI-Magnetic Resonance Imaging devices ('dedicated', and with low magnetic field), and at defining possibly resulting modifications within organizations. The authors also propose recommendations about the installation and assessment of these imagery devices. The report first proposes an overview of the global context: MRI principles, comparison between low-field and high-field MRI, issues of delay and access to MRI, issue of irradiation in France, regulatory context. It presents the assessment: literature analysis, medical data, use of the different MRI techniques for various pathologies. It addresses technical data (benefits and drawbacks of the both techniques, performance comparison, industrial offer, situation of the world market), and financial data (assessment of investment and operation budgets, composition of budgetary scenarios). It finally formulates perspectives for both techniques
