Description
Chemical reactions may be carried out in situ in the electron microscope, using either a heating device or the electron beam as the energy source. This paper describes the decomposition of the oxide GaNbO4, brought about by beam heating. Experimental details are given and the results are discussed. A decomposition mechanism is proposed.
