Study on the π+→η and π+→π0π0 exclusive processes on nuclei at 10.5 GeV/c

Description
The charge exchange reactions π+→η and π+→π0π0 were studied at 10.5 GeV/c with Be,Cu and Pb nuclei. The lead glass shower hodoscope was used to detect π0- and η-mesons decaying as π0(η)→2γ. The total and differential cross sections measured are compared with colour screening QCD-model, with Glauber theory calculations and with data at other energies. 13 refs.; 9 figs.; 1 tab
