Setup for measuring of spacers for the ATLAS tile calorimeter
Description
Development of the test setup for dimensions control of spacer plates of Hadron Tile Calorimeter of ATLAS detector has been described. A standard flat-bed scanner with optical resolution 800 x 600 dpi (16 x 32 μm) was used as a measuring device. The image received from the scanner then was processed by the computer to find spacer margins. It was shown during testing of the system that the precision received is ±100 micrometers. (author)
