Thermonuclear device

Description

In an existent cold fusion device, since liquid heavy water is used, an electrode is easy to be corroded and the device is enlarged. Further, since the temperature of the electrode undergoes restriction by the boiling point and the solidifying point of heavy water, it is difficult to take out energy stably and efficiently. Then, deuterium atoms and ions contributing to fusion reactions are supplied from deuterium-containing gases and the plasmas thereof, to cause nuclear fusion reactions on an electrode and a reaction substrate comprising hydrogen-absorbing metals such as palladium. Since heat media are circulated to the electrode, the temperature of the electrode and the reaction substrate can be controlled irrespective of the boiling point and the solidifying point of heavy water, and energy can be taken out efficiently. Although a palladium alloy is used for the electrode or the reaction substrate, other hydrogen-absorbing metals such as titanium or titanium alloy may also be used. Nuclear fusion reactions can be taken place at a normal temperature with good controllability. (N.H.)
