The ferromagnetic Kondo lattice

  • 1. Laboratoire de Physique des Solides, Universite Paris-Sud, UMR 8502, Batiment 510, 91405 Orsay Cedex (France)

Description

We study here the ferromagnetic order in a Kondo lattice with only an intra-site Kondo-type exchange interaction. There is a coexistence between the local Kondo effect and the ferromagnetic order especially for a small number of conduction electrons. Finally, we apply our results to cerium or ytterbium compounds and compare them to the case of the underscreened Kondo lattice
