Multiplicity fluctuations in QCD jets

Description

The ratio r = left-angle n(n - 1)right-angle g/left-angle n right-angle g2 of the second multiplicity moment to the square of the first multiplicity moment for gluonic jets is calculated in perturbative QCD to leading and subleading level. Second subleading corrections to r are partially calculated, and r is found to be independent of the opening angle used to define the jets, to second subleading level
