Some predictions with UrQMD code for Au-Au collisions at √sNN 130 GeV

Description
Some predictions on the particle production yields, rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions, and hadron spectra using UrQMD code are presented in this paper. Comparisons with HIJING code predictions, as well as with experimental results are included too. Using experimental results on the transverse momentum distributions for pions, kaons and protons and also UrQMD and HIJING predictions some indications on the temperatures of these particles are obtained. The simulation results obtained with UrQMD code, although they do not describe completely all experimental results, offer an important tool in the study of the particle production mechanisms and phase transitions in highly excited and dense nuclear matter.
