Regeneration of K/sub S/ mesons on nuclei in the colored quark model
Description
High-energy K/sub S/ meson regeneration on nuclei selects those fluctuations in the incident K-meson state which have a large radius. This leads to an enhancement in the absorption of K mesons in the nucleus, since the colorless hadron can interact with the gluon field of the target only because of the distribution of the color charge. The calculation of the regeneration amplitude for various nuclei contains no free parameters and is in good agreement with experiment
