Reading characteristic of commercial OSL (Optically Stimulated Luminescence) dosemeter to gamma radiation by using microstar reader

Description

Dose has been evaluated on a commercial OSL InLight XA dosimeters which are not being annealed and do not get exposure to radiation. Linearity testing and dose evaluation on the OSL dosimeters that have got exposure to radiation also have been carried out. Re-reading results after being saved about 3 weeks on the dosimeter that does not get radiation exposure showed changes ranging from -0.2 to 0.22 mSv. The result of repeated readings lower after storage may be caused by variations in reading factor whose value is ± 10 %. OSL dosimeters commercial InLight XA test shows linearity with correlation factor of 0.9999. Meanwhile, the results of rereading after more than 6 months at the OSL dosimeters that have got exposure to radiation and corrected with control showed a decrease in dose of 1.18 to 18 % and an increase in dose of 2.5 to 13.46 %. The decrease and increase of the reading may be caused by fading factors and the variation in reading factor. (author)
