The seven contributions deal with advanced developments of PWRs, BWRs, WWERs, and HTGRs into compact reactor units suitable for district heating as well as for industrial process heat generation. Problems of safety and acceptance are dealt with. The development programs of France, USA, Federal Republic of Germany, Sweden, and USSR also consider the problems of economic efficiency. (DG)

Die 7 Beitraege befassen sich mit der Weiterentwicklung der DWR, SWR, WWER und HTR zu kompakten Reaktoreinheiten, die sowohl fuer die Distriktheizung als auch in der Industrie zur Bereitstellung von Prozesswaerme geeignet sind. Hierbei wird insbesondere auf Sicherheits- und Akzeptanzprobleme eingegangen. Die Entwicklungsprogramme fuer Frankreich, USA, Deutschland, Schweden und UdSSR beruecksichtigen auch Probleme der Wirtschaftlichkeit. (DG)
