Study on development of the high efficiency positron moderator

This study aims to conduct search of new modulator and development of better settling method as well as to collect informations on positron behaviors in or on solid relating to its re-emission phenomenon. In this fiscal year, a trial production of apparatus was started to construct for obtaining some position informations of re-emitted positron on the modulator as an aim of obtaining some informations on effect of defects and surface conditions on the positron re-emission. At first, design of electrostatic type low speed positron beam and trial production of lens system were conducted. (G.K.)
