Description
Results are presented from experimental studies of the electromagnetic acceleration of a hydrogen or deuterium plasma in an inverse Z-pinch geometry. The acceleration dynamics of the plasma shell was simulated in a zero-dimensional model and was measured with magnetic probes. The ion energy spectrum in the plasma flow was determined with the help of ion collectors by the time-of-flight technique
