Nuclear reaction product removing device

Description

Purpose: To remove volatile nuclear reaction products deposited to a low temperature portion of a steam generator. Constitution: A steam generator for heating and evaporating liquids by coolants heated in a HTGR type reactor and sent by way of ducts, is connected with a temperature elevation device for heating coolants supplied to the steam generator by way of another duct different from the duct connected to the nuclear reactor. A nuclear reaction product removing device is disposed for cooling to deposite and removing volatile nuclear reaction products heated by the coolants heated and supplied from the temperature elevation device connected with another duct and separated in the lower temperature portion of the steam generator. By the removing device of the present invention, since the nuclear reaction products plated-out in the steam generator are evaporized with a high temperature coolants, solidified at low temperature in a low temperature trap and completely collected, it is possible for safety checking and maintenance for the steam generator.
