Description
The diffusion Monte Carlo method is used to integrate the four-body Schroedinger equation corresponding to the 4He nucleus for several model potentials of Wigner type. Good importance sampling trial functions are used, and the sampling is large enough to obtain the ground-state energy with an error of only 0.01 to 0.02 MeV. (author)
