Minimization of SO(3) invariant Landau potentials for spin four
Description
The absolute minima for the SO(3) invariant Landau potential for the nine-dimensional (spin-four) irreducible representation is discussed as a function of the coupling constants. The non-maximal D4 stability group appears. This is studied in relation to Michel's conjecture. (orig.)
