Quantitative electron microprobe analysis of high-dispersed silver-nickel alloys

Description
Technique for quantitative electron microprobe analysis of powders of high-dispersed silver-nickel (binary) alloy prepared by magnesium removal from the surface of polished silver-nickel-magnesium (ternary) alloy is described. Application of the standard-background method is shown to give better results for analysis of powders formed on the surface of polished specimen using the method of substract metallurgy and porous alloys than ZAF-correction. Heterogeneity of silver-nickel powders in composition is estimated
