Interplanetary scintillation and flare-produced disturbances

Creators

  • 1. Adelaide Univ. (Australia). Dept. of Physics

Description

The observations form part of a program of interplanetary scintillation observations made with the 80 MHz CSIRO radioheliograph at Culgoora, N.S.W. and a 111.5 MHz aerial array at Buckland Park, S.A. in which a number of scintillating sources are observed daily. Observations of each source at Culgoora are made for approximately 15 mins while the Buckland Park observations are transit records with a duration of 3 mins. Analysis of the data involves calculation of the power spectrum, autocorrelation function and probability density function of the intensity fluctuations. (author)
