Stimulated raman scattering and penetration of an electromagnetic wave into an inhomogeneous plasma
Description
Relations from which the intensity of noise and intensity of a pumping wave in an inhomogeneous medium can be determined under conditions of convective parametric instability are derived on basis of nonlinear electrodynamic equations. The relations are employed for investigating the effect of stimulated Raman scattering on the penetration of an electromagnetic wave into a rarefied inhomogeneous plasma
