Description
Technical parameters of heavy-ion storage rings and the possible ways of nuclear physics research by storage rings are overviewed. The overall architecture and the main components and units of storage rings are described, with special emphasis on the CRYSIS (Cryogenic Stockholm Ion Source) device and to the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) injector.
