The free-free absorption coefficient of the negative ion of molecular hydrogen

Description
The free-free absorption coefficient of the negative ion of molecular hydrogen is calculated in the dipole length formulation using wavefunctions which take account of exchange and polarization effects on the free electron. The results are found to be approximately one half of those for H-.
