Description
The contribution of the BOR-60 reactor experimental facilities into development of control elements applied in all operating and designed fast sodium cooled reactors, as well as into selection of materials for manufacturing their components is briefly discussed. Basing on the investigations made the unique technology for closed cycle in utilizing the enriched boron carbide obtained after reprocessing of scram rods which service life time is over and which are stored in reactor cooling ponds, in reactor control system elements is developed. This technology is realized in the BOR-60 facility, it is under introduction in the BN-600 reactor and in future will be used in the BN-800 reactor
Abstract (Russian)
Кратко рассмотрен вклад экспериментальных установок реактора БОР-60 в разработку органов регулирования, применяемых на всех действующих и проектируемых быстрых реакторах с натриевым теплоносителем, а также в выбор материалов для изготовления их компонентов. На основе проведенных исследований разработана уникальная технология замкнутого цикла использования в органах СУЗ обогащенного карбида бора, полученного в результате переработки отработавших ресурс и хранящихся в бассейне выдержки реактора стержней аварийной защиты. Данная технология реализована на установке БОР-60, внедряется в реакторе БН-600 и в перспективе будет использована в реакторе БН-800Additional details
