Calculational investigations for optimization of radionuclides production technology in the research reactor WWR-M
Description
Selection of optimal conditions for accumulating radioactive isotopes was realized by means of calculations of nuclear transformations in a targets taking into account spectral composition of neutron fields in irradiating volumes inside the reactor. Wide capabilities of the computer code MCNP-4C were used for the calculations (Monte Carlo method). Significant number of calculations, from neutron spectra till amounts of radionuclide activities, was carried out within a common methodical approach.
