Effects of power plant cooling on aquatic biota
Description
Several bibliographies and reviews on 'ecological consequences of power plant cooling' have been published. Other reports compile additional data, but are not available to the public. Altogether, more than 3,000 literature citations have been gathered until now, too many to be studied by an individual scientist. The bibliography becomes more comprehensible if only titles are accepted that deal with power plant cooling itself, neglecting the influence of temperature and other stress factors on organisms as examined under laboratory conditions. Among these 600 remaining titles, about 370 are published in journals and periodicals available to the public. They are presented in this bibliography. (orig./RW)

Verschiedene Bibliographien und Rezensionen ueber die oekologischen Konsequenzen der Kraftwerkskuehlung sind veroeffentlicht worden. Andere Berichte beinhalten zusaetzliche Daten, sind jedoch der Oeffentlichkeit nicht zugaenglich. Insgesamt sind ueber 3000 Literaturangaben bis jetzt gesammelt worden, zu viele, um von einem einzelnen Wissenschaftler untersucht zu werden. Die Bibliographie wird verstaendlicher, wenn nur diejenigen Titel zugelassen werden, die von der Kraftwerkskuehlung selbst handeln und die Temperatur- und andere Einfluesse auf die Organismen, wie sie unter Laborbedingungen untersucht werden, ausgelassen werden. Unter den 600 uebrigbleibenden Titeln sind etwa 370 in Zeitschriften der Oeffentlichkeit zugaenglich. (orig./RW)
