Description
A short survey is given on the early period of the diagnostic and therapeutic use of radiation. Extensive experimental and theoretical work has provided the basis for the interpretation of the reactions and symptoms after radiation exposure. It has also made possible an evaluation of the effects as a function of the radiation dose, for which some graphic charts and tables are presented. This is followed by some findings of experimental investigations of phenomenologic radiation reactions which are again underlined with some tables and graphic charts. (MG/AK)

Es wird ein kurzer Ueberblick ueber die fruehe Periode der diagnostischen und therapeutischen Strahlenverwendung gegeben. Umfangreiche experimentelle und theoretische Arbeiten haben danach die Grundlagen zur Deutung des Reaktionsablaufs und der Symptome nach Strahlenexposition geschaffen und eine Zuordnung der Wirkungen zur Strahlendosis ermoeglicht, wozu einige uebersichtliche Schemata und Tabellen gebracht werden. Es folgen Ergebnisse von experimentellen Erhebungen ueber einige phaenomenologische Strahlenreaktionen, die wieder mit einigen Tabellen und graphischen Darstellungen untermauert werden.
