Hydrates of lanthanum, europium and lutetium acetylacetonates
Description
Behaviour of hydrates of tris-acetylacetonates LnA3xH2O (Ln-La3+, Eu3+, Lu3+) under conditions of vacuum sublimation has been studied. It is ascertained that in the process of heating in the range of 180-220 C (p=0.1 mm Hg) two competing processes occur: hydrolysis accompanied by formation of polymeric nonvolatile hydroxocompounds and sublimation. For La and Eu complexes hydrolysis prevails, while for Lu complex-sublimation. Refs. 3
