Physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of plasma cermet TiC-Ni-Mo coatings

Description
By the technique of plasma spraying with a local protection, TiC-Ni-Mo cermet coatings containing up to 70 and 85 vol.% of a carbide phase have been produced. TiC-Ni-Mo cermet powder produced with the help of mechanical alloying has an uniform distribution of a carbide phase which is retained in the sprayed particles of plasma coatings. An active interaction between TiC carbide phase and Ni-Mo matrix occurs in the process of the coatings producing (mechanical alloying, sintering, plasma spraying) that leads to NiC, Ni3(Mo,Ti)C phases formation. As a result, the coating particles have a high (up to 15 MPa) microhardness value

Методом плазменного напыления с местной защитoй сформированы керметные покрытия TiC-Ni-Мо с 70 и 85 об.% карбидной фазы. Керметный порошок TiC-Ni-Мо, полученный механическим легиpованием, имеет равномерное распределение карбидной фазы, сохраняющееся в напыленных частицах плазменного покрытия. Карбидная фаза ТiC активно взаимодействует с матричной фазой Ni-Mo на всех этапах получения покрытия (механическое легирование, спекание, плазменное напыление) с формированием фаз типа NiC и Ni3(МоТi)С, что обеспечивает высокую (до 15 ГПа) микротвердоcть частиц покрытияAdditional details
